A free collection of notifications, popups and tooltips

To maximise the success of your user interface you must have tooltips, notifications and/or popups somewhere. Well, I think so anyway. Everything about the modern-age is focused on getting your attention, notifications such as the little red numbers when you get a new comment on Facebook.

Good notification design, I think, should feel obvious and you should immediately understand it. I have chosen a range of obvious designs and created them in Adobe Fireworks. One of them is the Facebook ‘friend request sent’ tooltip – I take no credit for the design of this.
