UX designer / Front-end developer
Trade Chase is an the online stock/share trading game. I design and implement everything from banners, icons, navigational elements, virtual goods, buttons, badges, characters and generally make sweet pixels for this online stock trading game. I work with technologies and frameworks such as ASP, Javascript, jQuery, MooTools, Knockout JS, VB, LESS (for CSS), HTML & CSS. I use Adobe Fireworks, Visual Studio/Sublime Text 2 and Google Chrome.
Freelance web designer / Front-end developer / Icon designer / Interface designer. Working for a range of clients producing high quality media for communicating information such as websites, applications, advertisements, blogs, news feeds, social media integration and online shops.
Working as part of a small team of web designers, my role involved planning, scheduling and completing projects to strict deadlines. The range of projects would typically include website design, website build, website maintenance/updates, ecommerce website build, blog website builds, news websites, search engine optimisation and on the odd occassion print design, logo design, a bit of branding and icon design.
Every website built while working at the Creare Group would be Search engine friendly and include bespoke design to fit a brief composed by a salesman and the client, bespoke & hand-typed coding to construct the website, creation of all website assets such as graphic elements, bespoke integration of jQuery animation(s), bespoke integration with Wordpress (if required), bespoke integration with Magento (if required) and an SEO-focused development outlook right from the beginning.
During my time at Creare my role as an employee grew significantly. Initially my tasks included creating simple static, brochure website while adding a little bit of jQuery to spice things up. My roles grew immensely as I became very familiar with Wordpress which allowed me to created dynamic websites with RSS and even CMS capabilities, Wordpress is still my favourite open-source web platform (after Google Webfonts). From here I was introduced to Magento, the open source Ecommerce giant. I used Magento to produce an array of online web-shops while having the capability for the client to add and manage both the products on sale and the content on the website.
Within Creare my role grew to managing my own web design blog for which I would post high quality articles related to web design. This was primarily an Adobe Fireworks blog as I was generally the only Fw user at the company so I strived to educate my peers and web design enthusiast of the benefits within Fireworks.

I am a W3C standards compliant web designer who made friends with the web a long time ago. I am best friends with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) while keeping in touch with jQuery and Javascript. I use PHP to create dynamic and responsive websites and developments. I have worked extensively with ASP and a javascript framework known as Knockout JS.
I am very comfortable with Wordpress along with bespoke integration, styling and theme creation which is also the case with Magento along with bespoke integration and styling too.
As a keen graphic and icon designer I have a very sharp eye for design on the web which, integrated with front-end development and interface design, means it's safe to say that I am an overall web enthusiast (geek).
I use applications such as Adobe Fireworks, Illustrator Dreamweaver & Photoshop from the Adobe Creative Suite, the Microsoft Office suite Google Drive, in-browser tools such as Firebug for Firefox and sophisticated website analytics to track website traffic and performance.
I primarily use Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox when creating a website but I am fully aware that all websites must work in all modern browsers - for Microsoft Internet Explorer that only leaves IE9.
